What We Handle

You're planning a Pacific Northwest elopement in a state you don't live in.

That's exactly the gap our team exists to close. Here's what we take off your plate before you ever board a flight to Washington.

Permits & Land Access

National forests, state parks, and private land each have different permit rules and lead times. We handle the paperwork and the timing so your location is actually secured, not just photographed well on Pinterest.

Local Vendor Network

Officiants, photographers, florists, and hair and makeup artists across Seattle, the San Juan Islands, Mount Rainier, and Olympic National Park, vendors we already trust and have worked with, not a list pulled from a Google search the week before your wedding.

Weather Contingencies

The PNW is beautiful and unpredictable. Every elopement we plan has a real backup plan built in from the start, not a panicked one assembled the morning of.

Travel Logistics

Lodging near your ceremony location, drive times between spots, and a realistic day-of schedule that accounts for travel, not just the ceremony itself.

Guest Coordination

Bringing a handful of guests instead of going just the two of you? We handle their travel questions and day-of logistics too, so you're not fielding texts on your wedding morning.

A Team On The Ground

You're not coordinating with a stranger you found online. Our team is present on the day itself, in the state, with a plan already built and tested before you land.

Common Questions

What couples ask before booking a Washington state elopement planner.

How far in advance should we book?

As soon as you have a date in mind. Popular PNW locations and permit windows fill early, especially in summer. A year out is not too early. Six months is workable for most dates but limits location options.

What does a permit actually cost, and do we pay for it?

Permit fees vary by location: National Park permits typically run $50 to $300 depending on the park and group size. State park and forest land fees are often lower. We handle the application and timing; you pay the permit fee directly to the agency.

What happens if weather forces a location change on the day?

Every elopement we plan has a real backup location identified before your travel date, not a vague "we'll figure it out." We monitor conditions leading up to your day and make the call early enough that nothing feels like a scramble.

Do we need to get a Washington marriage license even if we don't live here?

Yes. Washington requires both partners to appear in person at a county auditor's office. No residency requirement, no waiting period, and the fee is $69. We'll build the appointment into your arrival timeline so it's handled before your ceremony date.

Can we bring a small group of guests?

Yes. Most PNW elopement permit locations allow 6 to 20 guests depending on the specific site. We'll confirm group size limits for your location early in planning so there are no surprises. Larger guest counts may shift us toward a different venue type or service tier.
